The Benefits of Employee Fitness Programs!

The data speaks volumes as more and more organizations integrate on-site employee fitness programs into their corporate culture. Over the years, we have watched the on-site fitness space expand into large population health management programs for county and government agencies, health care systems, health plans, and corporate environments.

A Washington-based employer coalition, the National Business Group on Health, polled around 100 companies and found striking data to support the long-term sustainability and benefits of integrating on-site fitness programs into their already robust wellness programs. These on-site fitness services included weekly fitness classes and fitness centers that were managed by a staff of fitness professionals and personal trainers. The companies reported a 56% increase in employee satisfaction and worker morale, 27% of them attributed reduced healthcare costs directly to their fitness programs, and 73% connected the convenience of on-site fitness directly to increased employee engagement and productivity.

  • Increase in Employeee Satisfaction and Morale 56%
  • Reduced Healthcare Costs 27%
  • Increased Engagement and Productivity 73%
  • Reduction in Workers Comp Claims Data 20%

In addition to this beautiful study, Strive has conducted case studies with our customers and found one client to directly attribute a 20% reduction in workers comp claims to the on-site fitness services that we were providing to their employees. The data speaks volumes as more and more organizations integrate on-site employee fitness programs into their corporate culture.
